Fatal Passenger Vehicle Crash in North-eastern Brazil Takes 15 Lives

The bus was carrying about 30 passengers when it lost control and collided with a sandbank, causing it to overturn. How many injured passengers transported to local hospitals remains not yet confirmed.

How It Happened
Preliminary information indicate that the driver lost command of the bus, crossing into the oncoming traffic lane and hitting rocks on the shoulder. Subsequently, the driver returned to the proper lane but then collided with a sandbank, causing the bus to overturn.
The cause behind the crash is presently being looked into. The operator suffered minor injuries and was found negative for alcohol consumption.

A regional official expressed that the administration is offering support for the rescue operation and identifying the victims. They remarked, "Our team is closely monitoring the situation and sincerely regret the fatalities, the harm and the pain of all the affected families."
